My training has prepared me for most issues that have arisen in my time in appliance repair but my experience has taught me to expect anything and keep an open mind. I enjoy the daily interaction with people and am glad to see the relief on clients face when I am able to repair their appliance and avoid a costly replacement charge they may have dreaded.
Washing Machines
Many of us use washing machines every day, but do we know any facts about them – apart from if you push the start button it gives you clean clothes.
- Washing machines that load from the front, rather than from the top, are more efficient and clean their loads better.

Tumble Dryers
Repairing a conventional vented tumble dryer is often a relatively easy task as they are the oldest of all types and, generally, the most reliable.
Things get a little more complex with the new condenser dryers which have become far more commonplace because they can be installed without the requirement to have a vent to the outside.
Ovens
In general, ovens are quite straight forward appliances and usually don’t give too much hassle until you are dealing with ones boasting advanced features.
Common faults include the fan element or oven element failures and the next likely source of a problem would be the main oven changeover switch. The safety thermostats or, on some models, a thermal fuse can also cause some problems.
Dishwashers
Your dishwasher sets you free from the daily grind of washing by hand and naturally when it’s doing a good job you take it for granted. A malfunction or a breakdown can therefore be a massive inconvenience and with you suddenly the dish washer in chief, precious time gets lost elsewhere.
So when your handy helper stops performing as it should, what can you do? You could be looking at the expense of a new machine, or it’s back to washing up at the sink. Most faults can be repaired at a fraction on the price of buying a replacement making our repair service the most cost effective way of ensuring your home runs smoothly once again.
Refrigerators
If you don’t know what’s wrong with your refrigerator, how can you expect to fix your refrigerator?
Is the freezer cold enough, but the fresh food compartment warming? If there is a noise, is it coming from inside the freezer, behind the refrigerator, or somewhere else? Is there frost forming anywhere out of the ordinary? Take a moment to observe your refrigerators symptoms, it will be well worth your time.
